After your arrival you travel via a short but spectacular flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu or to Lukla. Conditions at the airport in Phaplu are usually more favourable than in Lukla. Here begins the wonderful adventure through the overwhelming nature of the Himalayas.

The Location of Mera Peak

Mera Peak is one of the impressive mountains in the Khumbu Region, southeast of the famous Mount Everest. It is the highest trekking peak you can climb in Nepal. It is truly beautiful and Mera Peak is surrounded by the forested valleys of Hangu Drangkas and Hinku.

From here you will climb Mera Peak via the glacier. You will use climbing equipment such as crampons, jumar, pickel and rope techniques. This is quite a challenge. But once at the top you have perhaps the best view of the Himalayas. From here you have beautiful views even into India. You can also behold five imposing giants of the Himalayas, namely Mount Everest, Lhotse, CHo Oyu, Makalu and Kanchenjunga.
