That’s How you Get There
If you travel to Mera Peak, it will take some time to get there. From the Netherlands you first fly to the capital Kathmandu. It is important that you always check in advance the passenger rights.
After your arrival you travel via a short but spectacular flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu or to Lukla. Conditions at the airport in Phaplu are usually more favourable than in Lukla. Here begins the wonderful adventure through the overwhelming nature of the Himalayas.
The Location of Mera Peak
Mera Peak is one of the impressive mountains in the Khumbu Region, southeast of the famous Mount Everest. It is the highest trekking peak you can climb in Nepal. It is truly beautiful and Mera Peak is surrounded by the forested valleys of Hangu Drangkas and Hinku.

You can also behold five imposing giants of the Himalayas, namely Mount Everest, Lhotse, CHo Oyu, Makalu and Kanchenjunga.
