There are four main ways to give free Christmas presents this year, and I’ll go into each in a little detail. Firstly, volunteer your time to a charitable cause, helping those who need it most. Secondly, put on your thinking cap and get making some homemade Christmas presents. Thirdly, be there for the ones you love, a priceless present that is the most valuable of all. Finally, try to win some competitions, because you’ve got to be in it to win it!
Be Charitable This Christmas
Whether you volunteer at a soup kitchen, donate presents to kids that might otherwise not get one or find some other way to volunteer this Christmas, you are sure to make a huge difference to someone’s life, and help restore their faith in others. This will benefit both of you, giving you a great feeling for the whole of 2020, knowing you have really helped someone.
Make Christmas Presents
Grab a pen and paper and think of some fun “voucher” ideas, for example “this voucher is good for one free hug”. If you are even craftier, you could try knitting or the like, but this may end up costing a little in yarn and other materials if you don’t already have some. You can also re-gift other presents or stuff you already own, rather than buying presents.
Be There This Christmas
Pop round for a cup of tea with that old friend or family member, they will love to see you. Alternatively, invite them over if you can, and share stories that have happened since you last met. Maybe you could turn your standard dinners into a “come dine with me” style event of the holiday period, either once a week or once a day for a week. This can be especially meaningful for older loved ones.

There are always lots of special festive competitions on this time of year, so get involved! Worst case scenario you have spent a couple of minutes for nothing, but you might just win a big prize like this competition for a campervan worth £45,000 or more! Enter online or in person, there are websites dedicated to competitions and in person try looking around town centres or shopping areas. The feeling of winning is almost as good as getting something for free!
