Loewe is a German creative mind venturing in the Spanish fashion realm. The multinational deluxe fashion brand was established by the famous, talented German designer Enrique Loewe Roessberg in 1846 (175 years ago).  The Spanish brand prides itself in leather, goods-producing exclusive designs for women fashion. The Loewe luxury brand is the oldest in the fashion market but ranks among the top best fashion brands. The brand specializes in leather goods, clothing, shoes, perfumes, and accessories. The brand has elegant, classic women collections such as handbags, shoes, trench coats, and clothes. Each season is marked with exclusive new arrivals, which keeps the brand on top of its competitors.

Establishment history

The Spanish brand was established in Madrid (1846) in Spain by a group of creative leather craftsmen.  Enrique Roessberg from German and a merchant of Hessian origin joined the Spanish group in 1876 and incorporated is unique leather works. Thus introducing the Loewe fashion brand, Enrique leather works gained popularity among the royal families and different people in the country. The brands served the King’s Alfonso XIII wife Queen Victoria Eugenie, who valued classic and unique Loewe products. Famous Queen Sofia, Spain’s king’s mother, is a regular visitor at the brand retail shop. The brands manufacture their products in Madrid, Spain, thus maintain originality. However, they have stores globally serving a wide range of clients.

Loewe expansions and stores

The Spanish Loewe brand has and is expanding its sales by opening different stores globally. The company has new stores on Greene Street in SoHo; the store focuses on women’s fashion products, which are creatively designed by Jonathan Anderson. There are stores in Switzerland, Osaka, Japan, Hong Kong. The brand has expanded in the US, where it has a store in Miami and a new one in Las Vegas (Wynn hotel).

The brands logo

The brand logo dates back in the ’70s and ’80s during the company expansions to different countries. Vicente Vela was the logo designer again creating an intertwined Ls; this has been the brand’s identity stamped on all the Loewe products.  After introducing a new company designer Jonathan Anderson, had an original thought logo idea. The creative work was designated to Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak, the top art designer of the duo of M/M. the new logo mergers the cultural heritage of the brand and modernity. The effect will be on all products and the logo’s color (smoky-white “Humo” color) to give a nice Spanish feeling.
