A review of the Toddler Puzzle Woozzle iOS app
My three year old daughter has been showing an interest in my iPad for a little while now, so I thought I’d download an app for her to play on. After browsing the iOS store for free educational apps for kids, I came across the Toddler Puzzle Woozzle app and decided to give it a try.

Toddler Puzzle Woozzle is an interactive wooden puzzle app that is designed to keep children entertained, whilst also helping them to improve their problem solving, logic and cognitive skills, concentration, memory and linguistics. It’s a toddler game aimed at age 0-4 and is completely free to download.
What I really like about this toddler app is that it’s colourful and appealing. It comes with twenty four free puzzles, so there are plenty of different ones for your little one to complete. My daughter seems to enjoy doing the puzzles over and over again, with her favourites being the bumblebee, rocking horse and gummy bears.
When I sat with her to do some of the puzzles (she picked it up really easily) I noticed that some were definitely more difficult than others but I think this is really good as it challenges her problem solving abilities. All they have to do is select which puzzle they want to do on the main screen and then the puzzle pieces will be scattered at the bottom. They then have to drag the pieces into the right places to complete the puzzle. If they put the wrong piece if the wrong place, it simply bounces back to the bottom, so they can try again.
When the puzzle is completed, lots of little bees float up the screen like confetti.
The app also comes with gentle music and a cheerful voiceover that speaks encouraging words to your toddler and congratulates them when they get the puzzle right. I’ll admit that I usually find the music on children’s games really annoying but I haven’t found that to be the case with the Toddler Puzzle Woozzle app. If on the other hand it does grate on you after a while, just click on the settings and you’ll be able to turn it off, along with the voiceover.
My daughter usually gets bored of games really quickly but she’s been much more interested in this interactive app. I think it helps that it’s so colourful and that there’s so many different puzzles to do.
If you are looking for an educational app that is also entertaining for your little one, I definitely recommend downloading the Toddler Puzzle Woozzle iOS app and giving it a try. I think it’d be great to use as a pre-school teacher app, as I know pre-schools and nurseries are starting to use technology as part of their syllabuses.
Another reason I like using this toddler teacher app is because you can take it everywhere with you. My little girl loves playing it in the car on the way home from playgroup and I don’t feel guilty about her spending time on my iPad, as I know it’s improving her learning. Unlike traditional wooden puzzles, you don’t have to worry about losing any pieces, which is another reason why I definitely recommend giving this app a go.
The Toddler Puzzle Woozzle app is free to download on iPad and iPhones from the iOS store. I believe that it’s also available for Android and is the best toddler app I’ve seen to date. It’s not just me that loves this app but parents around the world. You’ll see it’s been getting rave reviews and has even been the number one toddler educational app in ten different countries!
